‘Die Hard 6′ Might Be Set in Tokyo and Called ‘Die Hardest’
Fox, is right now drafting a treatment for a sixth Die Hard movie. Are you thinking about A Good Day to Die Hard, how it tanked in box office? Domestically speaking, it did; but the new Hollywood doesn’t care for these low incomes. Die Hard made 235 million while A Good Day To Die Hard only made a measly 67 million. So this means that we will be getting another Die Hard and it will be set abroad just to make it appealing to foreign markets.
Total Film has learned that the British writer, Ben Trebilcook is hard at work on treatment for the new film. This film is titled Die Hardest. We have got some early plot info. It will all start out in NYC and then head to Tokyo. There is an idea of John McClane squaring off against the Yakuza which would be actually pretty interesting. If they get Takeshi Kitano and Tadanobu Asano to be the main villains, I’d line up early to see it. Looking forward to it? Let us know in a comment.
