Fox Developing GUYS AND DOLLS Remake; Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt Courted to Star

A new film based on the musical Guys and Dolls may finally be coming off the ground. Studios have been trying and hoping for years to secure the rights to a new version of the classic Frank Loesser musical. The songwriters widow never found a deal she was very fond of.  This just changed, 20th Century Fox finally closed a deal to get the rights to start the development process on the new Guys and Dolls. The story takes place in the 1940′s and follows a group of NYC petty criminals and gamblers.

Fox wants to go young when it comes to the stars so Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt came to mind. So far there is no set director attached to the film.  The two soon actors recently has struted their stage skills at the Oscar ceremony as they took part in Seth MacFarlane musical number. They both were well versed in the category. The duo of these two men have actually seemed to inspire casting.
