Focus:  The producers of the romantic film Focus originally requested Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone to star but because they were not available, Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart were the stars.  Then Affleck and Stewart dropped out and now Will Smith is in talks to star.  Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy. Stupid. Love) wrote the script and will direct the film.  The plot is about a roller-coaster relationship between a con man and a novice.

The Croods Sequel:  The Croods made over $386 million at the box office worldwide.  This prehistoric animated journey has earned itself a sequel.  The writing and directing team, Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders are both returning to direct and write the sequel.  We’re not sure if the original’s voice stars, Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds will be back.

Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes Trailer:  A young girl (Kaya Scodelerio) becomes obsessed with her new neighbor (Jessica Biel) who has a newborn.  The first trailer sets a mysterious and somber tone but it looks interesting.  The film will be exhibited at Sundance but it doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet.

R.I.P.D. Trailer:  R.I.P.D. stands for Rest In Peace Department.  You might be assigned to R.I.P.D. if you’re a skilled cop like Ryan Reynold‘s cop character.  Reynolds is partnered with Jeff Bridges in the action adventure which will be opening in 3D on July 19th
