Premium Rush Star Joseph Gordon-Levitt Reveals Nasty Accident

Joseph Gordon-Levitt certainly gave his all during filming of the new hit movie Premium Rush. After a nasty spill into the back of a taxi cab, he even gave up a bucket of blood. Joseph Gordon-Levitt received 31 stitches to close the wound that was opened, but it hardly even slowed him down. He was back on set the very next day after heading to the emergency room to close the wound. In fact, he demanded that they shoot the injuries for inclusion in the film before going for help.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has come a very long ways since his early days of acting as a youngster. With his latest film choices, he is quickly establishing himself as a bit of a tough guy. His latest role is that of Wilee, a New York City bike messenger that finds himself in the middle of something he never intended. What follows is a break neck, action-packed thriller that spends a great deal of time on the bikes themselves.

Interestingly, the movie is only doing fairly well thus far during the August 24th, 2012 opening weekend. It currently sits in 4th place midway through the weekend with The Expendables 2, The Bourne Legacy and ParaNorman all ranking above it. Some experts have complained that the movie did not receive nearly enough of a marketing push by Sony heading into the release. Still, it is expected to take in around 8.5 million.

Premium Rush star Joseph Gordon-Levitt certainly has been well represented of late between this major role as the lead and then his work in the Dark Knight Rises. Both roles show a different side to Levitt, and put him in line for even better roles to come. His next role is that of a man that has to kill his future self in a movie called Looper.
