Shailene Woodley Lands Lead in John Green Adaptation THE FAULT IN OUR STARS
Shailene Woodley will be Hazel Grace in the feature film adaption of The Fault in Our Stars. The film is based on John Greens amazing 2012 novel (500) Days of Summer. The movie is about two cancer-stricken teenagers that first meet in a support group and soon become a little more then just friends. We learned that Woodley was in running for the lead female role when Josh Boone who is also the director for Stuck in Love signed up to direct the movie.
Even though Shailene Woodley would have to stick oxygen tubes up her nose, she campaigned hard for this role and she got it.
Here’s the synopsis for Green’s The Fault in Our Stars:
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.
